Alma de Mujer is made up of a volunteer council of 13 women who connect to the sacred land & wish to see it shared and loved by others. Over the years, women have flowed in and out of the council as life ebbs and flows for all. What has remain true is a core group of women who have had a connection to Marsha when she was alive & to the land since the 1980's. The council as it is today is a circle of women with no beginning or end. Each of the council women volunteers their time & diverse talents such as grant writing, organizing fundraising events, teaching at the youth summer camps, cleaning the cabins after folks stay at Alma, planting & watering the medicine wheel gardens, maintaining the website & social media sites, asking the community for donations & much more. The councils heart beats as one for the love of what Alma de Mujer respresents. Over the years, the council has created an "Alma Sisterhood" if you will. We have grown quite close & are always looking for like-minded women to help kindle the fire of Alma de Mujer. If you'd like to volunteer your time, money or supplies, all are welcome. Please feel free to contact Maria Elena to inquire. See Contact Page for information.
